Understand the Fundamentals of Photography

Join us in-store for a workshop on the Fundamentals of Photography.

Starting out in photography is no small feat. Here at Wex, we want to simplify the journey. This workshop is aimed at those looking to understand their camera; whether at the beginning of their visual adventure or just looking to further their passion, this course can help you along the way.

This course will cover:

• Camera care; how to keep your kit clean
• Lenses; what to choose, and when to choose it
• Camera modes; Programme, Aperture priority, Shutter priority and Manual
• Aperture, shutter speeds and ISO; what is each one, and how to use it to your advantage
• Much more; we’ll also talk through the basics, in general, to help get you started on your photography adventure

We’ll talk through various conditions and how they relate to the exposure triangle, so you can learn to shoot in a variety of situations. This session will include basic theory; there will be practical elements along the way to give you a chance to put what you learnt into practice.
