Join us in-store for a lighting workshop with award-winning, non-fiction photographer Kieran Dodds, focusing on artistic portraiture.

Kieran will begin this workshop by sharing his experience as a creative artist and discussing how he approaches his assignments. He will explain his shooting techniques alongside how to best highlight different elements of a person whilst shooting friends, family or professional models. We’ll talk through and demonstrate essential lighting techniques and tips as we go. You will have the opportunity to practise and shoot throughout the day. This course is supported by Profoto.

• What helps your portrait stand out?
• Planning and prep; fulfilling a brief, storyboarding & models
• Studio lighting & gear requirements; budget to the best gear.
• Camera settings and composition.
• Lighting set-up and techniques.
• Working with a model; direction and posing.
• Telling a story through imagery.
