About Charlie Kwai

Charlie Kwai is a British street photographer from London, known for his bold, honest, and energetic images. Born in Bethnal Green in 1986, he studied Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins before turning to photography in 2014. Charlie’s work focuses on overlooked locations and the people who bring them to life, with projects spanning the UK, Mexico, Ghana, China, and beyond. His self-published books include Overtime, Sweet Dreams, Al Pastor, and Magnetite. Charlie’s approach is rooted in human connection, storytelling, and a fearless commitment to documenting the everyday.
