About Léonie Hampton

Léonie Hampton is a photographer and artist known for her intimate and evocative work. Through her work, she has made significant contributions to contemporary photography. Her project, “In the Shadow of Things,” delves into her family’s experience with her mother’s Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), blending photography, film, and sound to explore mental illness and family dynamics. Hampton co-founded Still Moving, a platform for creative collaborations, and teaches MA Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication. Her work has also been exhibited internationally, reflecting her deep engagement with personal and social themes.
