About Michael Steele:

Michael Steele is a distinguished sports photographer with over three decades of experience. Graduating from the renowned Documentary Photography course at Newport in 1986, Michael’s career took off with a stint at The Observer, followed by roles at The Independent and The Guardian. Since joining Getty Images in 1999, he has covered major global events, including the Olympics, World Cups in football, rugby, and cricket, and even unique events like ice golf in Greenland. Known for his keen eye and passion for capturing the perfect shot, Michael continues to be a leading figure in sports photography
