What you will learn at this event.
Join us in-store for a studio lighting workshop focusing on beauty portraiture with Yolanda Kingdon, a professional photographer and Sony Europe Imaging Creator.
Yolanda will begin this workshop by sharing her experience as a creative artist and discussing how to manage clients' needs. She will explain her approach and how to best highlight different elements of a portrait whilst commercially shooting with a professional model and hair stylist.
She will demonstrate some essential lighting techniques and diagrams, and you will have the opportunity to practise and shoot with her guidance while she explains how they affect your shot.
The workshop will cover:
• Planning and prep; fulfilling a brief, managing clients, models, hairstylists, etc.
• Beauty lighting & gear requirements; budget to the best gear.
• Camera settings, composition & benefits of shooting Sony Mirrorless
• Lighting set-up and techniques effective for a high-end beauty
• Working with a professional model and posing
• Creating a calm, friendly and collaborative shooting environment.
About Yolanda Kingdon:
Yolanda Kingdon is a professional photographer, Sony Europe Imaging Creator, makeup artist, and hair stylist based in Cardiff, South Wales.
With over seventeen years of experience, Yolanda's approach has helped her produce beautiful photographs with her clients and models. She is highly passionate about her work and enjoys creating glossy, soft, elegant images with a high level of attention to detail.
