Shoot Conceptual Portraiture with Raj Khepar | Birmingham

Join us in-store with professional photographer Raj Khepar for a workshop on creative Conceptual Portraiture.

During this workshop, Raj will share his experiences as a creative artist, discussing ideation and storyboarding. Accompanied by a professional model, he will take you through the steps and processes of capturing conceptual portraiture, advising on gear, lighting setup, technical requirements and using minimal resources to build a creative portfolio.

In this workshop, you will have the chance to shoot alongside Raj and ask any questions you have regarding his practice and your own.

In this workshop, we will cover:

• Concept, ideation and mood boarding
• Planning, shoot prep and setup
• Cameras, lens variation, lighting and accessories
• The importance of props in this art form
• Highlighting details and working with a model
• Understanding and interpreting a creative brief

About Raj Khepar:

Raj Khepar is a professional photographer, retoucher and Canon Pro Imaging Technical Expert. Raj’s diverse portfolio includes commercial clients (covering all kinds of campaigns from stop motion animation to print ads), events and weddings, corporate headshots and product photography.

Advancing his photographic and storytelling skills while studying, Raj graduated from Farnham University for the Creative Arts. He had a keen eye for detail and extensive knowledge that he has since used to help train and support amateur and professional photographers around the country. Working with Canon, Raj has photographed at Wimbledon, Formula 1 and trade shows; and shared his knowledge at commercial advertising, landscape, portraiture and wildlife photography workshops.
