A Sense of Belonging with Aneesa Dawoojee

This September, we turn our attention to #WomenInTheIndustry, celebrating the success of female creatives who are working to change the way we see the world.

Join pro photographer and British Institute of Photography Fellow, Aneesa Dawoojee, for this free masterclass on her project The Fighting Spirit of South London. Dawoojee captures members of the South London community, looking to show a sense of belonging. The images have a positive community feel, and focus on individuals who do not see colour, gender or race, but are united by the commonality of love, loss, trauma and hardship.

During this session, Aneesa will talk us through her inspiration for the project alongside how it came to be, inclusive of research, preparation and practical shooting. This talk is supported by Canon.
