Working direct with the mixologist | Esther Ling on drink photography
Tuesday 18th February, 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Panasonic ambassador and seasoned food photographer Esther Ling will be teaming up with a mixologist at Wex Birmingham for an exciting look at photographing stunning cocktails in a live setting, offering you the experience of a professional commercial shoot. You will have the opportunity to watch the creator work, photograph the making process in action, and capture some stunning portfolio shots of the finished work.
Working on a live shoot like this can be challenging. Time is limited and you can be restricted on movement as you will need to manoeuvre around the mixologist as they create their stunning pieces.
Throughout the session, you will have the opportunity to talk to Esther, and watch her shoot to see how she works in a pressurised environment. She will help you get the best out of the opportunity at hand. You will then spend the remainder of the day photographing the creations. These are the shots that are crucial and would usually be the main images requested in a commercial job.
At the end of the session, you will critique the work made and have the chance to ask any questions remaining.
