Wildlife photography exploration | James Benwell
Meeting Point - Edgbaston Reservoir Main Gate
Friday 27th September, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Capture the wildlife of Birmingham’s green spaces with wildlife photographer James Benwell.
You will explore a variety of woodlands, wild meadows, and open waters, guided by James's knowledge of Birmingham. There will be plenty of stunning natural landscapes and the hope of wildlife to photograph during your walk.
We will visit the Edgbaston Reservoir, Harborne Walkway, and Deer's Leap Nature Reserve. Not too far from the city, these locations will also offer a unique urban/rural view. Although there is a high chance of sighting wildlife, as is nature, we cannot guarantee you will see all the expected creatures on this walk.
A shared love of wildlife, walking, and photography has led James to spend the past five years immersing himself into the West Midland’s green spaces and documenting the wonderful varieties of flora and fauna he finds within them. Whether photographing the potent beauty of an adder, or the ethereal dance of 80,000 Murmurating starlings, he never more at home when he's amongst nature with a camera in hand.
