Wildlife in Winter | Shooting on location with Tom Mason
Roehampton Cafe at Roehampton Gate carpark, Richmond Park, Richmond, London, SW15 5JP
Thursday 19th December, 10:00am – 1:00pm OR 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Join Tom Mason, wildlife photographer and Nikon Europe Optics Ambassador for a workshop looking at developing your wildlife photography on location in Richmond Park.
Tom will explore the key principles behind creating great images, looking to help you improve your understanding of focus, exposure and composition in real world scenarios. During the session Tom will look to cover the basics of field craft and finding subjects in the wild, to give ideas and the skills to apply to your next photographic shoot. Tom will be on hand throughout the session to answer your questions and guide you through shooting on location. With some luck we hope to find a variety of subjects to work with, but true to life in wildlife photography there are no guarantees!
This is an outdoor session so please be prepared for winter weather with good waterproof footwear and outdoor clothing. We will be walking a fair distance so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
You will need:
- Winter clothing appropriate for walking
- Your DSLR/mirrorless camera
- A long lens (as long as you have)
- Tripod/monopod (optional)
