Join us in Birmingham for an exciting hands-on portraiture workshop with award-winning photographer, Terry Donnelly, who will guide you through a range of different lighting setups to take your portraits to the next level using Rotolight LEDs! Over the course of the workshop, you’ll be able to work with a model and learn how to use multiple lights and modifiers to compose your shot, right through to post-processing.
Terry has received over 230 international awards for his work which encompasses portraiture, sports and landscape. Both a Rotolight Master of Light and Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador, Terry’s images have been exhibited in over 25 countries.
Rotolight equipment will be available to use on the day, including NEO 2, AEOS and Anova PRO 2 as well as gels, barn doors and other modifiers and a Rotolight expert will be there on the day to answer any questions you have.
What to bring
Terry is a professional sports photographer working in top flight sporting events including football in the English Premier League, championship gymnastics and professional horse racing. His work is regularly used in National and International publications for editorial and commercial content.
Terry has been awarded Fellowships in photography with The Royal Photographic Society (FRPS), The Societies (FSWPP), British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE), and a Masters from The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) and has had work exhibited in over 25 countries, and received over 230 international awards, including 13 best author awards in international photography exhibitions.
Terrys portfolio also encompasses, portraiture, landscape and creative works and is reflected in him being awarded ‘Pictorial and Fine Art Photographer of the year 2016’and ‘Media and Documentary Photographer of the year 2016’by the Societies which adds to several photographer of the year awards that have been awarded in previous years.
Being a regular invited international photography judge and selector, Terry is well placed for mentoring photographers in their development as well as those working towards gaining distinction awards, and regularly mentors photographers both privately and for photographic organisations.
Terry is a regular writer for industry magazines and is well known for running photography workshops and delivering lectures at trade shows and to photography organisations.
