Join us with Shelby Alexander for our street meet-up in February. Shelby will guide you through the city streets and locations and give her tips to shooting the streets. 

Bristol is always full of surprising people and extraordinary locations and you are guaranteed to find both on this street photography walk. 

This meet-up is for those who are comfortable with their camera system and would like to learn more about photographing out on the street and to meet others of similar interest in photography.

The expert

Born in Adelaide, Australia, Shelby is a documentary and street photographer based in Bristol. She studied photography and photographic practices at every opportunity and went on to gain a BA (Hons) in Documentary Photography at the University of Wales College, Newport where she spent time exploring ideas of lost childhood and loneliness and the notion of the family. She was awarded 4th in the Ian Parry Award in 2001 for the series of work that she made in America titled Baby Doll about child beauty pageants, one of the images from this series was also included in The Telegraph’s Travel Photographer of the year exhibition in 2004.

Work from a recent project has been part of the RPS Hundred Heroines (UN) Framing Identities exhibition in London and is now moving up to Blackpool for September.
