Get started with video using your DSLR or Mirrorless camera, with Wex’s Technical Editor for professional video, Kriss Hampton.

The workshop will cover:

  • Setting your camera up
  • Recording codecs
  • Picture profiles
  • Slow motion
  • Lens selection
  • Audio (recorders, XRL adapters and different types of microphones)

This course is for those who have an understanding of how to shoot still images but would like to learn more about the video function and capabilities of their camera systems. You will need:

  • Your camera and lens(es)
  • Memory card
  • Spare battery

Our Back-to-basics series plays host to a video workshop in which Kriss will deliver an introduction to shooting video and the fundamentals involved. Whether you want to start shooting for film or weddings or YouTube this workshop will give you the tools need. The session will break down the technical language surrounding video and give you a greater understanding of how to capture motion video.
