WEX along with Sony are excited to be bringing you this fantastic period adventure along with an opportunity to test the latest Sony Cameras and Lenses.

With grateful thanks to the staff of Fengate Farm near the Norfolk-Suffolk border, we are delighted to be taking you to this delightful location for an event that will aim to transport us back in time to the era before and including World War II when working steam was still a way of life for many and the women worked the land.

Weeting, with its unmade roads and rural disposition, presents an ideal backdrop for scenes using steam and vintage machinery and we are very lucky in the 21st Century to have use of a location that lends itself so fully to accurate recreations of the past. The focus of our activities today will be the once everyday scenes of a rural farm, this includes Steam Threshing, wood sawing, road steam working the land and so much more. And of course this type of event wouldn't be complete without an element of human interest, so our day will be complimented by beautiful Land Girls and a smattering of Game Keeper, and the odd farm hand, a perfect recipe for a fantastic day or photography.

Sony will be on hand with all the latest Cameras and Lenses to loan you free of charge for the duration of this event.

A free Sony SD card will be given to all attendees.

Exclusive WEX & Sony offers available through this event.

Sony experts will be on hand throughout the duration of the event.

Our day will start around 10.30 and will run around 17.00. There will catering options available during the day, some of which will be cooked on one of our steam engines.

You will need:

  • Spare batteries
  • Camera
  • Lense cloths
  • Lenses
  • Camera protection - rain covers etc

  • Sturdy outdoor shoes
  • Warm clothing
  • Wet weather gear
