Master your craft: Pet photography workshop with Heather Beckett
Heather B Studios, Smithills Hall, Smithills Dean Road, Bolton, BL1 7NP
Saturday 6th April 12pm-4pm
There’s something exceptional about catching the connection and excitement in an animal’s eye that correlates with the emotion you share, and humanises them. With creatures as loyal as dogs, there is nothing quite as interesting as the bond they develop with their families and interact with the world around them.
Join Heather Beckett in the picturesque woodland grounds of Smithills Hall, where you will get chance to get up-close and personal with up to 12 dogs of varying breeds, sizes and ages.
In this workshop you will learn how to capture their energy and inquisitive nature in three diverse ways:
- Humanising via close-up portraiture
- Movement and action, inclusive of the use of water
- Commercial shots
Heather will show you the best camera settings to use as well as lots of tricks and techniques to get the best out of these unusual models and capture some stunning photographs suitable for professional use.
This workshop will be taking place outdoors so please ensure you dress appropriately for mud and possible April showers.
