Historic Canal and waterways | Kevin Maslin
Meeting point will be Smethwick Rolfe Street railway station
Friday 13th September, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Walk the Smethwick canals and waterways of the midlands with Kevin Maslin. Birmingham's iconic sights can certainly offer plenty of opportunities to capture some great images. From the idyllic and historical views to the stunning painted narrowboats; from beautiful docks and pump houses to local wildlife; there is something for everyone along the water’s edge.
Kevin Maslin is a West Midlands photographer currently based in Tipton at heart of the Midlands waterway network. He has a real passion for photography and among his favorite subjects are canals and the traditional narrowboats, which once pulled their trade along the industrial waterways of the Midlands. He has been taking pictures of all aspects of the inland waterways for more than 30 years and, as a former freelance photojournalist, has a number of publishing credits to his name.
This is a circular walk expected to last 3-4 hours and open to all skill levels and camera types.
