Artist talk with Carl Warner | Highly conceptual visual imagery
Tuesday 31st March, 5:00pm – 7:00pm
This year, we have teamed up with advertising guru, director, artist and photographer, Carl Warner to present you with an incredible evening discussing his stunning works; created from food, house-hold materials and bodies. Carl’s 25 year career spans across photography and advertising with projects created for Coca Cola, Behance, Metcalfe, Uncle Ben’s and many more.
This talk will focus around his career today, his creative concepts and how he pulls his images together. He will discuss his successes and challenges over the years, alongside answering any burning questions you might have.
Carl has a passion for creating and making images from things that most people would not take a second look at. He loves finding pictures and beauty in the mundane and the banal. In creating landscapes from the contents of his fridge or building cities from sea shells or car parts, he is more of a photographic illustrator who creates something from nothing, transforming one thing into another by simply composing and lighting.
Most of his working life as a photographer has been spent working in the advertising world where creative solutions and problem solving have always been a challenging and exciting part of the job. With many years of experience accumulated these factors still play a large role in the process, but often lead to the creation of something amazing.
At Wex Photo Video we are committed to bringing the best deals, speakers, and events to our customers.
